So. The New Years animation might be a little late. But I can assure y’all I’m still trying.

But anyways, what’s up y’all? Steve here. Hope you guys are having a great New Years Eve or New Years depending on where y’all live. Here’s another update post from yours truly, except it’s kind of a review of this year, and my plans for 2022. 

2021

2021 for me was.... bro it lasted 2 months, the time’s lying to us. And December lasted... 3 months? Time wise this year’s been a real mindfuck, which explains my high lack of personal projects being uploaded and I hadn’t been given the chance or motivation to achieve much of my goals. As lazy as I sound right now, I genuinely felt like I had a bit too much spare time for myself, and I feel like I’ve been really lazy with my projects, not in terms of the quality, but in terms of working on the project itself. 

However I’ve also had a lot of other great moments/times/achievements this year despite this whole pandemic still going on, including getting my first award on an animation (Daily 4th Place on FYTTT), hitting over 250 fans here on Newgrounds, traveling to 2 different places (Pennsylvania for my birthday, and Puerto Rico for a week in mid-April), making some awesome friends, getting a girlfriend etc. I may have missed a few important moments here, but there’s only 76 minutes left of the year as I’m writing this. Cut me a break, I’m a last minute doer.

TL;DR - Time really screwed with my mind this year, and I wasn’t able to achieve all of my goals, but I have had a lot of other good times and achievements otherwise. 2021 was pretty solid overall.

Plans And Goals For 2022

Here’s a list of plans and goals for the next year:

• Have an animation of mine get frontpaged
• Upload more frequently, both on Newgrounds and YouTube
• Finish the ADISL pilot, preferably before June 25th
• Start practicing a new art/animation style for myself
• Reach 500 fans on Newgrounds, and maybe 2000 subs on YouTube
• Stop being lazy.

Seriously. I’ve been really lazy lately, and I don’t want my laziness this year to apply to next year also. Hopefully I’ll be able to achieve at least 3 of my other goals this year though, and if I need any motivation to help me achieve these goals, I’ll always make sure to remind myself that I have fans that support me through my career. And to those of you that do, I thank y’all a shit ton.

TL;DR This doesn’t need a damn summary.

What’s Been Going On With Me Lately

I’ve been experimenting with Flash a bit, and now I know how to insert new fonts to Flash! Yay me! 

I also feature in a rewind video a fellow YouTuber/friend of mine made! Go give it a watch pls thank you.

I’m also taking a bit of a break from the New Years animation, since I don’t wanna be stressed out for New Year’s Day. And ah I think that’s it. Oh and my buddy Alex managed to drop 8 animations throughout December, go celebrate his productiveness.

Conclusion

All in all, 2021 was a mixed year for me. It definitely went way too damn fast, but it was mostly good! It may not have been the absolute BEST year in my life, but y’all, my friends, fans, and family, have really made it a ton better for me. It was definitely hands down a better year than 2020. Here’s to a brand new year, I’d better be more productive by then. Cheers y’all!
